That's why we need to have a conversation. An informal chat to talk about this special, one of a kind book about a girl or a boy, perhaps siblings, and the favourite things they like (or dislike); getting into adventures, discovering themselves and maybe, encouraging them to read more or build self-esteem.... maybe.

Imagine, a book about someone who is almost exactly like them!

How does it work? Well, we talk informally, in confidence, by email or preferably over the phone or zoom and you tell us the who's, why's and wherefore's about the girl or boy; family, pets, favourite toys, dreams, ambitions, hobbies, sports, school subjects, and we come up with some ideas for an adventure with most of those things within the pages of a brand new, totally unique story.

We give you an estimate of the cost, please refer in the first instance to our pricing page. You haggle and assuming we come to some agreement we go away and come back a couple of days later with an outline. You say yes or no. If no, we tweak, and 24 hours later, if you still dont say yes, you walk away and it has cost you nothing. Or ,you slam the phone down in irritation but if you're on a mobile, that doesn't stop the call, it just breaks the phone.

When you say yes, you online transfer 50% of the cost to us. On receipt of the 50% fee, we start writing. And we write, and we change and we re-write and before the deadline (if digital version only required) we send you a few pages. If you like, we send you the entire document and you complete the remaining 50% fee transaction online. If you dont like, we end the collaboration. There is no refund for the work and time to which we have already committed.

When we complete your commission we shred our handwritten notes and put them in the compost bin in the back garden next to the vegetable patch. Back to nature. Just how we like it.
